If the PC you are attempting to play on has no connection whatsoever, it is impossible for you to start up the game, as you cannot login to your Steam account, even for Offline mode. You also must login to Steam online on the PC you are planning to go offline mode with. However, you can run Steam in Offline Mode for that period of time, which means you can run Fallout 4 for that period of time without going online. I am pretty sure that Fallout 4 is not one of these games, and you must run Steam to run Fallout 4. It is extremely rare that a game purchased through Steam is capable of being run without Steam running. This is a function built into *Steam*, and all games running through Steam are subject to that function. At that point, you are forced to login online, even just for a second, to renew your server token check and get more offline time. Steam has an Offline Mode, however it only runs for about 1 or 2 weeks. Thanks again for everyone who gave a serious reply :)
And when i can't play a game i paid for while those freeby guys carry same game in their pocket in a usb drive and run it wherever they find a computer without an internet at all with their cracked copies that when it really hurts.
I use steam as a way to get my games legally and dont care much about anything else like archv.
People here in my country usually get their games from torrent sites and if you buy your games you are called 'fool' for not getting them for free. Or if you want more of an explanation why i care about extra DRM on games here you go It is for convenience more than being paranoid, not sure why you are pushing that much, maybe so you can start trying to convince people you are correct? Go fish for that somewhere else please. Its probably due to a fear of patches breaking mods and since valve force updates instead of allowing you to choose to update or not it is a valid complaint since the game is still updating frequently if your a beta runner
